13. Inchy, our Shopify app
This section covers Inchy: Made to Order Builder, a Shopify app run by UAB Curtains Calculator, Liepu 21, Klaipeda, 91213, Lithuania. Questions about it go to baltunis@curtainscalculator.com.
Kept in the merchant's own Shopify store
- Product builders, prices and settings, as Shopify metaobjects and metafields.
- Quote requests sent from a product page: the shopper's name, email, phone if given, how they want to be contacted, the product, size and choices, their message and the price they saw.
- Logo files that shoppers upload, kept in the store's Shopify Files.
The merchant controls this data in Shopify. We work with it only to run the app for that store.
Kept on our servers
- The store's Shopify address and the access token Shopify gives the app, so the app can work for the store.
- The name and email of the store owner or staff member who opens the app, used to sign in and, if the merchant chooses to receive them, to send emails about setting up the app. Every such email has a link to stop them.
- For stores that used our earlier calculator: their pricing tables, add-ons and settings.
Read but not kept
Orders, with the customer's name, address and items, are read from Shopify only to show sizes, choices and production sheets inside Shopify. We do not keep copies of orders or customers on our servers.
Who helps us run it
Shopify (the platform the app runs in), Heroku (hosting), our database provider, and Resend (sends the app's emails: new quote requests to the merchant, and setup emails). They process data only to provide those services.
Deleting data
When a store uninstalls Inchy, setup emails stop at once. When Shopify asks us to erase a store's data, 48 hours after uninstall, we delete the owner's contact details. Data in the merchant's own store stays under the merchant's control. A merchant can ask us at any time to delete everything we hold for their store, and we do it within 30 days.
